On March 2nd, 2009, the Dormont Community Development Corporation (the DCDC), which is the non-profit corporate home of Dormont Main Street, filed for 501(c)3 status with the IRS. A 501(c)3, or similar status, is necessary for applying for various grant monies. This is a significant milestone on our way to achieving our "official" Main Street designation.
